ANGELS told shepherds about the Lord’s BIRTH
In the CITY of DAVID—of all places on EARTH!
The shepherds left their FLOCKS to GO and to see
The town of Bethlehem was where He would be.
The very first Christmas . . .
Shepherds found the babe in a barn full of HAY
Because the INN was too full from travelers that day.
So JESUS, the KING, came to show us God’s LOVE
And chose a dirty MANGER over Heaven above.
The very first Christmas . . .
It must have seemed like any old NIGHT
Except for the difference of that ONE shiny light—
Twinkling in the PEACE and QUIET from afar—
RIGHTEOUSNESS announced by one brilliant STAR.
The very first Christmas . . .
Jesus came as a TREASURE for the whole UNIVERSE
To bring VICTORY over sin and remove Satan’s curse.
And WISE men still get EXCITED at this gift that God gave
For YOU, and for me, and the ZILLIONS He’s saved!
