by Julie Theophanes
Gather
- old white T-shirt (your dad might have one you can cut up)
- scissors
- leftover red, yellow, blue and green egg dye
- three empty cups
- measuring spoons
- cookie sheet or cardboard
Go
- Cut a 20-inch square of fabric from T-shirt.
- Mix leftover egg dye in the empty cups to make these colors:
- khaki-Mix 2 tablespoons yellow, 1 teaspoon red and 1 teaspoon blue.
- brown- Mix 1 tablespoon yellow, 1 tablespoon red and 1 tablespoon blue.
- olive green-Mix 1 tablespoon yellow, 1 teaspoon red, 1 teaspoon blue and 1 teaspoon green.
- Lay the fabric on a cookie sheet or cardboard to protect work surface from stains. You may want to do this craft outside.
- Use a measuring spoon to drip on the colors until it looks like camouflage.
- Let it dry, then blend right in with your camouflage gear.
