White Christmas Gather 1 cup shortening 2 cups crispy rice cereal 1 cup shredded coconut 1 cup powdered milk 1 cup chopped mixed dried fruit 1 cup powdered sugar 3 drops vanilla Go Ask a parent to melt shortening in a saucepan on low heat. Combine cereal, coconut, powdered milk, dried fruit, powdered sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Add melted shortening, and mix well. Press mixture into a foil-lined 9-inch square cake pan.
