gently down.
Beneath
a canopy
of trees
and flowers.
Birds fly
toward shelter.
Wings flapping,
getting heavy.
Water whispers
downstream
splashing
on the bank.

Suddenly,
a dash of brown.
SPLASH!
In the puddle
appears
the reflection
of a deer.
