Solution to Case of the Missing Umbrella: An Emily Jones Solve-It-Yourself Mystery

by Emma, 12, from Missouri

“It was Vance,” I stated.

“What?!” Vance yelled. “Prove it!”

“I understand now,” Matthew said. “Vance knew he was going to Noah's ark—where it rained for 40 days and nights. When he saw Priscilla’s umbrella on the counter, he took it.”

Connie led us upstairs. She opened the door to the Imagination Station. Priscilla's umbrella was lying in the corner.

“You guys are the best!,” Priscilla said to Matthew and me, “Let me buy you milkshakes for solving the case.”

“Thanks,” I said.

“Hey,” Jay spoke up. “Can I get a milkshake, too, since I was innocent this time?”
