Average
- What are some of the “groups” or “cliques” in your
school?
- Do you fit into any of these categories?
- Does your group of friends help or hurt your walk
with God?
- If not, what group might be better to be in?
- What are you doing to help others in your group
get closer to God?
Chapter 2: True Friendship
- What character traits or actions make up a best
friend?
- Who is your best friend?
- What makes this person your best friend? (Note:
Do these reasons fit the list from the first question?)
- Could Jesus be your best friend if you let Him?
- If so, how much time do you spend with Him?
- If not, what is taking up your time during the day
that keeps you from Jesus?
Chapter 3: Fright for Life
- Have you ever been rescued? If so, how did it feel?
- Have you ever rescued someone?
- What are some ways kids need rescuing in
school?
- Do you do any of these?
- How has Jesus rescued us all?
Chapter 4: Rated PG for Parental Guidance
- What do you have in common with your parents?
- What do you like to do together as a family?
- What's the biggest thing your parents do to annoy
you?
- What's the biggest thing you do to annoy them?
- How can you prevent that from happening?
- Why do parents make rules for you to follow?
Chapter 5: The Weird World of Sports
- What's your favorite sport? Why?
- How important is exercise to you on a scale from
one to 10?
- What will happen if you don't take care of your
body?
- How will that prevent you from being the best God
wants you to be?
- When is a good time in the day to exercise?
- Is there something in your life that you need to cut
out that might leave room for more exercise?
Chapter 6: The Cost of Being Cool
- On a scale of one to 10, how important is popularity
to you?
- Have you ever let popularity make you do
something you normally wouldn't have done? (i.e. wear
certain clothes, choose a hair style, steal, lie, etc.)
- If so, was it really worth it?
- Which is easier: to be yourself or to constantly
pretend to be someone else?
- If you consistently are true to yourself with your
actions, what kind of friends do you think you'd attract?
- What are some ways within your youth group or
close friends that you can use peer pressure to your
advantage? (i.e. get kids to go to church, read the bible,
be a stronger Christian in school, etc.)
Chapter 7: Oh, Brother
- Do you get along with your siblings?
- What's one of the biggest fights you and a sibling
has ever had?
- How could it have been prevented?
- Did you act like a Christian throughout the
altercation?
- What are some things you could do to get along
with your siblings better?
- Have you sat down and talked to your siblings
lately and tried to get to know them better?
- Have you tried to understand what life is like for
them in your family?
- What are some fun things you can do with your
siblings to maintain your friendship?
Chapter 8: Growing Up
- What's the most awkward part of puberty?
- What are some important things to keep in mind as
your body goes through these changes? (i.e. eating
healthy so you'll grow properly, getting enough sleep,
limiting your Red Bull consumption to only seven a day,
etc.)
- Remember that everyone goes through these
changes and everyone (even the coolest kids) feel
awkward at times. With that in mind, what are some
ways you can help others as they go through this
change?
Chapter 9: On Your Marks
- Why do you go to school?
- What do you like about school?
- Do you think God wants you to do your best in
everything you do?
- Is it important to do well in school?
- What are some ways to do better in school? (i.e.
study groups, accountability partners, etc.)
Chapter 10: Defusing the Anger Bomb
- What's the most angry you have ever been?
- Do you get angry a lot?
- What are some ways to prevent yourself from
getting angry?
- Once you are angry, how do you calm yourself
down?
- Has getting angry ever helped a situation?
- Do you do bad things when you're angry that you
normally wouldn't do?
Chapter 11: Church Chaos
- How close is your youth group?
- What are some ways to make it closer?
- What are some benefits of having a close youth
group?
- What can you do specifically to keep your youth
group close and encourage other to join it?
Chapter 12: Good Health
- What's the sickest you've ever been?
- What are some ways to prevent sickness?
- Have you ever been too tired or sick to do
something?
- Do you think Satan can use sickness or lack of
energy against you?
- If this is true, then what can you do to fight Satan
and keep him from winning that battle?
Chapter 13: Backstabbing Buddy
- Have you ever had a friend stab you in the back?
- Have you ever had a friend talk bad about you
when you weren't around?
- What did you do about it?
- What are some ways to deal with a backstabbing
friend?
- Have you ever done that (stabbed a friend in the
back or gossiped about them) to a friend?
- If Jesus is our friend, have you ever denied Him to
others?
- Have you ever stabbed Jesus in the back by doing
something that would let Him down?

- How do you treat the following people: parents?
teachers? siblings? friends? enemies?
- Why does God want us to treat everyone with
respect?
- How does being polite to everyone you meet make
you a better follower of Christ?

- How can music, TV shows or movies affect your
attitude?
- What do you listen to?
- What movies do you like?
- What TV shows do you watch?
- If someone that didn't know you looked at that list
would they know you're a Christian?
- Why is it important to only watch and listen to good
things?

- Name 10 things your parents do for you. (i.e. wash
laundry, cook meals, bail you out of jail, etc.)
- Why do they do all that stuff for you?
- What do you do for them?
- Why should you help them out with chores?
- How does God want you to treat your parents?

- Name five things that your grandparents like to do.
- Name five things you can do with your
grandparents.
- What are some ways that being close to your
grandparents benefit them?
- What are some ways that being close to your
grandparents benefit you?
- Why do you think God wants us to be close to our
grandparents?
- Why do you think God wants us to honor elderly
people?
Chapter 18: Cheater, Cheater, Grade

- What is your routine from after school until you go
to bed?
- How much time do you spend on homework?
- How much time do you spend playing games,
watching TV or using the computer?
- Does this schedule work for you or is there a
different schedule that would help you do better at
school?

- How might you get help with those subjects? (i.e.
study group, parents, friends, etc.)

copying homework from a friend and letting your
homework be copied?

you've earned it?
- Have you ever saved up to buy something you
really wanted? If so, how did you do it?
- Why is it dangerous to not be good with your
money?
- Do you think God wants you to be good with your

that will help God?

that will help others?
- One of the biggest problems in families is caused
by being in debt. Why do you think it's important to learn
how to manage money now?

- What is the best way to learn how to get a long with
your new family members?

Chapter 25: Ultimate Dirt Removal System
- Are you a sinner?
- How does God wash away our sins?
- Why did God have to sacrifice His Son on the
cross?
- Why is it important to decide to follow Christ now?
- As the last chapter states, “Nobody can earn
forgiveness yet everyone needs it.” Why do you need
forgiveness?
- Why is following Christ the most important decision
you will ever make?
