Dinosaur

Actors: The voices of D.B. Sweeney as Aladar, Ossie Davis as Yar, Della Reese as Eema, Julianna Margulies as Neera and others.

Snatched from its nest, an iguanodon egg ends up with a family of lemurs. The lemurs name the 3-ton lizard Aladar and raise him as their own. When their island is destroyed by meteors, Aladar and kin head to the mainland only to be chased by meat-eating dinosaurs. Eventually Aladar and his family join with a group of dinosaurs heading across the desert to find lush feeding grounds. A couple instances of bathroom humor and several scary scenes of meteors smashing the island and smaller dinosaurs being chomped by a predator earn the movie its PG rating. But Aladar is a noble character who helps weaker friends and teaches everyone the importance of teamwork during this 80-minute, amazingly animated film.
