Jimmy Neutron may be small, but he has a big brain. He’s the ultimate "boy genius" with his numerous gadgets, which include dressing, bed-making and shoe-tying robots, a jet backpack and his amazing robotic dog, Goddard. So when all the parents in Retroville get abducted by Yokians (gooey, green, egg-shaped aliens), it’s up to Jimmy’s brain and his friends to get them back. Eye-popping 3-D animation and a high-energy soundtrack featuring Aaron Carter, NSYNC, the Backstreet Boys and others makes this 95-minute movie with numerous laughs for parents and kids fly by. At first the children of Retroville are excited their parents are gone, and proceed to trash the city. But a day later, the kids realize there’s nobody there to take care of their upset stomachs and skinned knees. Not only do they need their parents, they’re willing to work hard to get them back—a great theme! But several slang references to a human’s backside, some bathroom humor, the "cool kid" making fun a Jimmy and his friends because they won’t sneak out of their houses and a quick, casual use of God’s name, may keep some families from thinking too highly of Jimmy.
