MPAA Rating: PG
Milo has a passion to locate the underwater continent of Atlantis. Lacking money and a special shepherd's journal, the map maker can only dream of following in his grandfather's footsteps. Then Milo's luck changes. Out of nowhere a strange tycoon comes up with the journal and invites Milo to join his expedition. Soon after setting sail, the ship and all 200 crew members are scattered by a vicious sea monster. The 20 or so survivors face many challenges before stumbling upon Atlantis.
From the opening scene, it is clear that intense action and dreaded doom fills this flick. Violent scenes such as a woman getting thrown out of a hot air balloon basket and falling to her death litter the screen. Also, magical forces are presented as more powerful than the God of Scripture. No profanity, romantic exchanges or bare backsides are found in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, but it has definitely earned a PG rating.
Distributor: Disney
Directors: Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson
Actors: The voices of Michael J. Fox as Milo Thatch, James Garner, Leonard Nimoy, John Mahoney, Florence Stanley, the late Jim Varney and others.
