Roberto Benigni’s Pinocchio is a live-action version of the famous story about the wooden puppet who longs to be a real boy. But this fantastical film has a twist; it stars grown men pretending to be little boys. Add hordes of rats pulling chariots, giant lollipops, magical milk that cures illnesses, owls and crows toting doctor's bags and naughty little boys turning into donkeys, and you have a fun-filled adventure for the whole family!

While on his journey to become a real boy, Pinocchio learns the importance of obedience and discovers the unconditional love his “papa,” the kind woodcarver, Geppetto, has for his wayward son. Pinocchio’s close calls may be too scary for younger children. But overall, Pinocchio is a magical adventure with a good message and lots of laughs along the way.
