MPAA Rating: G
After losing most of his family to a barracuda attack, Marlin becomes overly protective of his remaining son, Nemo. When Nemo is old enough, Marlin reluctantly takes him to fish school. But disaster strikes when Nemo is snatched from school by a scuba diver and placed in a fish tank in a dentist’s office. Devastated, Marlin searches the seven seas for his boy, facing danger and meeting some new friends along the way.
Finding Nemo makes the point that family relationships are important. Marlin puts his own life in danger to search for his son, refusing to give up. Though he’s rebellious at first, Nemo comes to realize how much he loves his father. Nemo is brave and courageous throughout his adventure, and other creatures pull together selflessly to help Marlin and Nemo.
Shark attacks, close calls and scary situations may be too intense for very young children. Marlin and his companion Dory find themselves in many dangerous predicaments. Characters occasionally make a gross joke but nothing inappropriate for kids.
Finding Nemo is a fun adventure with amazing underwater animation. This big fish story is sure to be a family favorite, so head to the theater and dive in!
