MPAA Rating: G
In this fourth Herbie sequel, Fully Loaded,
the 1963 Volkswagen Beatle is back and geared for
action. Maggie Peyton is from a family of NASCAR
racers, but it seems that Maggie's family's racing days
are about over. That all changes when Maggie buys
Herbie from a junkyard for 75 dollars. The little bug with
a personality all his own puts Maggie and her family
back on the fast track.
Not everything about this movie is fun and games,
though. Herbie hits people with his doors and once
smashes someone with his hood. This is funny in the
movie, but if it happened in real life someone could be
seriously hurt. Maggie street races, which is extremely
dangerous, and she later lies to her dad about it.
On the bright side, Herbie usually uses good manners,
and there are a lot of positive messages in this film.
Maggie and Herbie are good friends, and they often put
themselves on the line for each other. Overall, Fully
Loaded is charming and a lot of fun.
