A man's gotta have skills. Unfortunately, Brother
Ignacio, known simply as Nacho to his friends, has
none. He cooks food for destitute orphans in rural
Mexico, but he longs for bigger things-particularly glory
in the arena of Lucha Libre, the uniquely Mexican form
of wrestling in which masked men do battle for honor.
Hoping to impress a newly arrived teacher, Sister
Encarnación, and to raise money for the orphanage,
Nacho dons a mask, cape and tights and becomes
Nacho Libre, wrestling hero. Or not. Along with his rail-
thin sidekick called Esqueleto (Skeleton), he loses fight
after fight.
Although Nacho has a good heart and truly cares about
the children, he tells lies to hide what he is doing.
Nacho Libre also contains grown-up humor, gross-
out gags, lots of wrestling violence and a few bad
words. When it comes to Nacho Libre,
Clubhouse kids might want to stay out of the ring.
Distributor:Paramount Pictures
Director: Jared Hess
Starring:Jack Black as Nacho, Ana de la
Reguera as Sister Encarnación, Héctor Jiménez as
Esqueleto, Richard Montoya as Brother Guillermo and
Cesar Gonzalez as Ramses.
