Flicka

MPAA Rating:PG
Distributor:20th Century Fox
Director:Michael Mayer
Starring:Alison Lohman as Katy McLaughlin, Tim McGraw as Rob McLaughlin.

When Katy returns from boarding school, all she can think about is horseback riding. On her first night home she sneaks out to ride and discovers a wild horse that she falls in love with. When this horse, Flicka, ends up on the ranch, Katy is forbidden to touch her. Katy disobeys and attempts to train Flicka. When her father discovers this, Flicka is sold. Katy hatches a plan to get Flicka back by competing in a rodeo.

The main theme of Flicka is Katy's complete disobedience toward her father. Although Katy's dad realizes he has made some mistakes toward the end of the movie, Katy never apologizes for being rebellious. Some bad language is also sprinkled throughout Flicka.

So, while this film may be fun, thoughtful and interesting, be aware that Flicka can get a little wild.
