| Q. |
Did God really tell people to write the Bible? Jerry, 10 |
| A. |
As unbelievable as it sounds, the answer is yes. Second Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed." That means God is the true author. All Scripture comes from Him. But He used men—prophets, disciples and other faithful believers—to write down His words. Second Peter 1:21 says: "Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." The Holy Spirit guided these writers so they would write the words of God. Because God was involved in the whole writing process, we can trust that every word of the Bible is true. |
