| Q. |
God says He has a plan and purpose for our lives. God knew we would sin, but He's holy. How could He plan our lives with sin?

Great question! The Bible does say that God is holy and completely without sin. But a long, long, long time ago, Adam made a choice to disobey God. Adam’s disobedience caused sin and death to enter the world. And because of His sin, all people sin and all people will someday die. Adam’s sin could have been the end of God’s wonderful plan for mankind, but He didn’t let people’s sin stop Him. Instead, He sent Jesus to redeem us, or buy us back for God, so that our relationship with Him could be restored. Because of that gift, we can follow God’s plan for us even though we sometimes do wrong. No, our sin is not part of God’s plan. Sinful acts always go against His perfect will. But He knows we will sometimes make wrong choices, and through His grace He can still use us. When you disobey, ask forgiveness and go on serving God. He does have a wonderful plan for your life! |
