| Q. |
I’m a kid who doesn’t like change. When change happens, I start feeling weird. What should I do? Marissa, 8 Michigan |
| A. | All of us are afraid of change at some point in our lives, so don’t feel alone. People get scared or nervous because change means something could happen that they have never experienced before. A good thing to do when the winds of change blow is to talk with someone—Mom, Dad or a good friend. If you talk about your “weird” feelings, then the other person can help you come up with good ideas of how to ease them. It’s okay to not like change, but keep in mind that there is someone who won’t pull a switcheroo on you. God reminds us in Malachi 3:6 that He is the Lord and never changes. Because He stays the same, you can depend on God to get you through unknown territory. Pray that He will keep you safe and secure. |
