| Q. |
Sometimes I hit my brother when he does something I don’t like. How can I stop bullying him? Elizabeth, 8 Arizona |
| A. | Many brothers and sisters fight, so it’s great that you want to start treating your brother better. The main problem here is hitting. You probably hit your brother because you get angry. In Proverbs 29:11 it says, "A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control." That’s good advice. Be wise. Don’t just start yelling or throwing punches when things don’t go your way. Try to find a solution. Keep your emotions under control and talk with your parents. You and your brother may not be best buddies, but with a little help and patience, you can avoid being kid combatants. |
