| Q. |
This boy in my class is always getting pushed around because he is a little nerdy. I want to stand up for him, but I am afraid I will get made fun of. What should I do?

Sounds like you already know what you should do. Now you just need some courage to do it! In Joshua 1, God tells Joshua to "be strong and courageous" three times. Sometimes doing the right thing takes an extra amount of courage. You can ask God for that strength. You’ve already considered the consequences: Others may make fun of you. But standing up for someone being mistreated is a risk worth taking. Choosing not to do what you know is right will make you feel worse than a little ridicule. And chances are the teasing won’t last long. Plus, your example may give others courage to do the right thing, too. |
