Fried Dumplings
Gather
  • 1 cup cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon mashed ginger
  • 1 teaspoon mashed garlic
  • 2 cups ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • wonton wraps
  • bowl of cool water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • (For dumpling sauce:) 1 cup soy sauce
  • a pinch sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
Go
  1. Cut cabbage into tiny thin strips.
  2. Mash the ginger and garlic. Mix together with cabbage, ground pork and soy sauce.
  3. Place a teaspoon of the meat mixture into each wonton.
  4. Wrap each wonton, using water to seal the edges.
  5. Ask a parent to place dumplings in a pan with hot vegetable oil. Fry until meat is thoroughly cooked (three to four minutes on each side).
  6. Serve with dumpling sauce!
