Byron Davis missed making the 1996 Olympic swim team by three-tenths of a second.
Now this 29-year-old athlete has his sights set on competing in the 100-meter butterfly in Sydney, Australia.
But Byron’s goals go much higher than that.
"To be honest, God doesn’t care about the outcome of the race because our identity isn’t wrapped up in whether we place first, second or third," Byron explains. "How we play the game is important to God.
"I consider swimming part of my ministry. God has called me to motivate, challenge and change the lives of people with what I say and do—and to let them know Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life."
