Miracle or Coincidence?

Who says miracles don’t happen anymore?

I witnessed one firsthand. My family had just finished eating dinner on the balcony of a restaurant in Wisconsin. While we were waiting for the bill to come, my younger sister, Rachael, and my cousin were looking over the railing.

Then everything happened so fast. My grandma said it was time to go. My sister turned and as she did, her foot caught the back of a chair. She tripped and fell through the rail onto the boat dock 20 feet below. My older brother and I ran down the stairs and up to the dock’s gate, but it was locked. We called for an ambulance, the gate was opened and Rachael was rushed to the hospital. They did extensive testing, but could find nothing wrong with her.

She landed in the middle of a 3-foot ramp with metal railings on both sides. All around were big boulders and an old pipe sticking out of the water. Yet Rachael walked away with nothing more than a sore back and neck.

Miracle or coincidence? You be the judge!
