Shaken Up!

My family and I are missionaries in East Africa. A little more than two years ago, we were driving to a town five hours away from our house. It was drizzling slightly, and it was kind of hard to see. When we were about an hour from our house, a cow stepped into the road. Dad tried to avoid hitting it, but it was too late. He slammed on the brakes. We hit the cow, and since the road was wet, our car began hydroplaning. We were heading straight for a deep gully and couldn’t stop!

In a few seconds, we were rolling into the ditch. The car landed on its roof. After we climbed out of the window, we shakily examined each other. Nobody even had a scratch or bruise!

As Romans 8:28 says, "In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." A few months later we got a letter in the mail from our supporting church. It said the members could provide the $25,000 needed for our new truck! God had performed two amazing miracles, and that experience has deepened my relationship with Him.
