The Day God Saved Me

This story is about the day that I look back at and say, "That was God who saved me from what could've happened."

Another day of preschool was over. I was happy to get out and be free. Instead of riding the big, yellow bus home, my mom came and picked me up in our truck. We were going home and had just turned onto our road. I saw our house in the distance. Just then I wondered where my seat belt was. I leaned over, and my door flew open. I flew out of the truck and landed on the ground. As I looked up, I saw the truck's red lights come on as it stopped. My mom jumped out and ran back to me. She led me back to the truck. We were both scared and both crying as I told her I was all right.

I was not hurt during this scary moment. I tell this story, because I know God's hand was protecting me.

And remember . . . always wear a seat belt!
