Stumped!

Last August my family took a trip to Seattle, Washington, to visit some friends. When we got there, it didn’t take us but a minute to start riding the four-wheelers our friends owned. We started by riding on the streets and then we went off-roading in the back yard. My two brothers were riding one four-wheeler, and I was on the other. When we got to the top of a hill, I lost control and ran into a tree stump with a 6-foot diameter!

All I can remember is pushing the throttle instead of the brake and saying to myself, "This is going to be bad." Another tree was next to the stump, which gave me a very small space to land in safely. Everything went dizzy, and it felt like I had landed on a pillow. (Actually, it was a thorn bush.) I didn’t feel any pain until I started to move. I got out of the thorn bush with only scratches, bruises, thorns and berry stains.

Later my mom told me that she thought I was going to have at least a broken bone. My big brother told me that if I hadn’t missed the tree by the few inches that I did, my skull would have shattered instantly.

I’ll never forget that day when I could’ve died, but instead God put His hand out to catch me and put His angels around me. I knew right away that I wouldn’t have gotten out of that bush with only scratches if God hadn’t helped me. And I’ll thank Him for that every day for the rest of my life. It’s one miracle that I’ll keep telling to spread the gospel to others.
