Together Again

A little more than three years ago, I met my best friend, Erin. My dad was at seminary in South Carolina. We had been there one semester when my mom met Erin’s parents and found out that they had a daughter who hadn’t made any friends yet. I went over for a little while to play. The next day, I went over again. I kept going over until we became good friends.

The time came when her dad finished his studies, and they moved back to their home in North Carolina. We wrote to each other, and my family visited them twice. On one of our visits, my dad invited Erin’s family to come work with us in Mexico where we are missionaries. They liked the idea but had to pray about it. Some months passed before they decided to join our mission organization. We prayed they would be accepted and after another couple of months, they were!

That wasn’t the end of their journey. Erin’s family still had to raise their support. We prayed for them for two years. Finally, they are down here.

I am thankful to God for letting Erin and me be together again.
