My family is in ministry together working to help medically fragile children. Right now I have six brothers and sisters. Three of my siblings are biological. Then there is Shyheim, my adopted 4-year-old brother. We call him "Shyshy " for short. Shyshy has cerebral palsy and can't walk, talk or see, but he still has fun. He likes feeling the breeze on his face when he is being pushed on the swing or sliding down the slide.
Max is my foster brother. He's 3 years old and also has cerebral palsy. He's learning very slowly to walk. My foster sister, Erica, is 4. She's going deaf so we have to teach her sign language. She wears hearing aids.
We keep in touch with the birth families of the children we care for. The parents know how important it is for us to take care of their children. I've had a lot of different brothers and sisters over the years, because we've been able to give many children a home.
The Lord was kind and gave my mom a Christian home health aide. God also gave us two big vans. We're praying now for a bigger house. We know God's going to help us with a house. I'm thankful there's a God.
