Fire on the Bus!

A couple of years ago, my family went on a missions trip to Nicaragua with our church. We went to a town called Bluefield and had an evangelistic campaign. We showed two Christian movies, and some people made decisions to accept Christ.

On our way back to the town where we had been staying, the church bus stopped. The men fixed the bus and we were back on the road. I was sleeping on the luggage when we stopped again! A teenager woke me, and I was angry. I thought something exciting was going on outside. I tried to get my shoes on, but people pushed me off the bus.

When I got outside, I found out what all the excitement was about. The bus was on fire! My dad opened the emergency door and threw out the luggage. It took only six minutes for the fire to burn the bus from the front to back. Everyone was safe in God’s hands. Although I lost my shoes, I didn’t lose God or His protection. On the day before Valentine’s Day, I saw God’s love in action.
