Matthew Parker's Decoder #2015-06

Did you solve this kickin’ code? Here it is again:

It might help to look up Philippians 3:10. In that verse, the apostle Paul sets out his goal (which is very different from a soccer goal).

How It Works

To crack this code, think like a soccer player. Just “kick” each letter forward one letter in the alphabet, so A becomes B, S becomes T, etc. The trickiest part is that Z becomes A. Got it?

Soccer is believed to have come to the United States as immigrants entered the port of New Orleans in the 1800s. That’s probably why many of the first American soccer games were held in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Today, more than 13 million people play soccer in the United States. That makes it one of the most popular team sports in the U.S., along with basketball and baseball. Even more amazing? More than 250 million people play it around the world!

Look for a new code in the next issue of Clubhouse magazine.
