This nature documentary follows an Alaskan grizzly named Sky and her two baby cubs—Scout and Amber—for a year as they eat, play and grow. Like other Disneynature features before it, Bears takes up-close footage of animals in their natural habitat and shapes it into a cool story about families. Sky sees her cubs through thick and thin, teaching them how to survive in the wild.

Nature can be scary at times, but this movie is very kid-friendly (note the “G” rating). The only violence involves bears enjoying their lunch of salmon or clams.
